Juventus' Giorgio Chiellini: Amauri Has Chosen Italy Over Brazil

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has declared that team-mate Amauri will be playing for Italy in the coming months, turning his back on Brazil, where he was born.

Amauri has never played for the South American team and he is just obtaining an Italian passport, which paves the way for him to wear the blue of the Italian shirt.
However, critics have hit out at the player, stating that he will play for Italy only because he has no place in the Brazilian national team.
"There is nothing official yet, but I think that his choice has already been made," revealed the former Fiorentina player to Studio Sport.
"We hope to have him with us in the Italian national team, because Amauri is a great person and a great player, and he can help us a lot."
The 29-year-old player is starting out his second season with Juventus, with whom he has made 32 Serie A appearances, scoring a total of 12 goals.
