Juventus Approach Wolfsburg For Zaccardo

Although the Juventus management have said that their transfer campaign is over, the club are still often linked with possible new signings.

According to Sky Sport 24, they have now started negotiating with German champions Wolfsburg for the purchase of full-back Cristian Zaccardo.

This would continue the club's policy of favouring Italian players, and after Olympique Lyon's Fabio Grosso, Zaccardo is the second World Cup winning full-back to be linked with the Bianconeri this summer.

The confirmation of the contact between the two clubs reportedly came from Wolfsburg's management. The player is no longer part of coach Armin Veh's plans.

Despite scoring six goals in ten games during the pre-season period, in the first two matches of the new Bundesliga, both of which Wolfsburg won, he was only used for a few minutes on both occasions. This has not gone down well with Zaccardo, who understandably wants more playing time.

The 27-year-old joined Wolfsburg from Palermo last summer.
