Felix Magath Blocking Rafinha's Transfer To Juventus From Schalke

Juventus are eager to add a right-back to their squad before the end of the month, but new Schalke 04 coach Felix Magath is currently proving to be an insurmountable obstacle for the Bianconeri, who are targetting Rafinha.

Tuttosport reports that Rafinha has been rejecting offers of a renewed contract, and could even go so far as to utilise the notorious Article 17 in order to break his contract with the German side.

The 23-year-old has spent four years with Die Konigsblauen and is eager to move south to Turin, from where Juventus are ready to submit a €10 million bid.

No offer will be accepted without the agreement of Magath, however, and the Old Lady are attempting to soften the wily German's resolve with a number of mediators, including Diego.

Should Juventus make a breakthrough in negotiations and complete a deal for Rafinha, it would surely complete a summer of high profile and high quality signings as Ciro Ferrara looks to launch a bid on the league title in his first full season in charge.

Diego: Juventus Can Win The Scudetto

Juventus ace Diego is determined to help his side lift the Scudetto this season, and he will not let anything stop him.
The Bianconeri slipped up against Milan during the Berlusconi Trophy on Monday night, losing on penalties following a 1-1 draw. Diego scored during the game and he is maintaining his enthusiasm, despite the result.

"Juventus are always among the favourites, but there are other teams," Diego told Sky Sport Italia.

"I don't care about Inter or Milan. We have to think about playing well."
Diego showed touches of magic during the game against the Rossoneri, and he was satisfied with his performance on the night.

"Playing in a stadium like the San Siro always gives you great feelings. I scored the goal and I thought we could win, but I am happy all the same," concluded the playmaker.
