OFFICIAL: Juventus Take Barcelona Defender Martin Caceres On Loan

Barcelona defender Martin Caceres has joined Juventus on a season-long loan deal, the Spanish club have confirmed on their website.

The Uruguay international arrived at the Camp Nou last season from Villarreal, but failed to impose himself under Josep Guardiola, making just 13 appearances.

He has now been given the opportunity to gain experience at Juventus, who finished runners-up to Aston Villa in the Peace Cup.

Juventus will pay Caceres' salary in full for the duration of the loan and will have the chance to make this a permanent deal, having secured a buying clause of €11 million plus €1 million in objectives.

Martin Caceres has become Juventus' fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Fabio Cannavaro, Diego and Felipe Melo.
