Juventus Must Try To Win Everything - Amauri

Juventus forward Amauri is eagerly anticipating his Italian passport, which will allow him to appear for the country's national side, but the Brazilian-born striker is focusing his immediate attentions on the Old Lady, despite admitting that he would feel privileged to play for the Azzurri.

"National coach [Marcello] Lippi has said that when I become Italian, he will take me into consideration," Amauri told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "This is a great honour for me."

Meanwhile, the striker remains concentrated on the Bianconeri's upcoming campaign.

"I'm just a Juventus player. I'm happy, I'm doing well and the team is doing well," he asserted. "We have prepared well and we are ready to take on the winning mentality that the coach [Ciro Ferrara] reminds us of every day.

"Ferrara was clear immediately. He told us that we had to win at Villar Perosa, against the Primavera [youth squad]. It doesn't matter who is in front of you, you are Juventus and you must win."

Amauri also commented on Inter, insisting that the gap between the Beneamata and Juventus has been narrowed after an impressive transfer campaign.

"[Inter are] strong, even without a player like [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic. But we have decreased the gap," he explained.

"A lot of quality has arrived [at Juventus] with players like Diego, [Felipe] Melo and [Fabio] Cannavaro. We can aim at the Scudetto and the Champions League - we have to try and win everything," he concluded.
